Hi, I’m Sayena, a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My goal is to create a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where you can feel supported in your healing journey. I believe each person’s path is unique, and I approach therapy with curiosity, respect, and compassion.

I draw from a variety of modalities, including Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, and Gestalt Therapy. Guided by a trauma-informed lens, I tailor each session to your needs, helping you explore challenges while building on your strengths.

For over a decade, I’ve worked in community mental health agencies and psychotherapy centres, supporting people with diverse concerns. I’m Eva, a Registered Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in mental health, specializing in trauma. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Waterloo with a health focus, and I’m trained in EMDR, neurofeedback, and auricular acupuncture (Acudetox Specialist certification).

I work with individuals, couples, and families, providing evidence-based, collaborative care. I use therapies such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, neurofeedback, narrative therapy, strength-based, and attachment-based approaches to support healing. My personal path—from growing up in mainland China to studying and living in both Canada and Hong Kong—has given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of life’s transitions. These cross-cultural experiences shaped my ability to meet people with empathy, especially when they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the financial sector, where I witnessed firsthand how high-functioning individuals often struggle silently. Now, I help clients navigate emotional challenges, build healthier relationships, and reconnect with their inner strengths.
